Compulink at AAOS: Optimizing Efficiency for Orthopaedic Practices with Its Latest Software Innovations

Newbury Park, CA – March 7, 2023Compulink Healthcare Solutions, the leader in specialty specific all-in-one EHR solutions, announced that it will showcase the innovations to its Orthopaedic Advantage™ software at this year’s American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons 2023 Annual Meeting.

Advantage’s fully customizable, intelligent end-to-end (clinic-imaging-ASC) workflow automation is designed to improve staff efficiency and reduce physician documentation time.

“Physicians have been dealing with inefficient and incomplete EHR systems that aren’t designed for their specialty and don’t really address the data gaps in their workflow that create all the paperwork,” said Link Wilson, CEO and Product Architect. “Our solution brings the entire patient flow – from the time the patient schedules an appointment, to when they enter the clinic, visit onsite imaging, see the provider, and have the surgery in the ASC  –together on a single platform where data just flows.”

During the AAOS meeting on March 7-11 in Las Vegas, NV, the Compulink team will demo some of the key enhancements in its 12.6 Cures Act certified edition of its all-in-one solution including:

  • New Graphical User Interface, with design elements which are pleasing to the eye and efficiency features for quicker access to information and functions.
  • Ambulatory Surgical Center (ASC) Updates, including easier documentation of anesthesia and Pre-Op and Post-Op assessments.
  • Appropriate Use Criteria (AUC) Support. Starting in January 2024, providers at time of ordering diagnostic imaging for a Medicare beneficiary will be required to consult a qualified Clinical Decision Support Mechanism (CDSM) to determine adherence to AUC criteria. Compulink automates this process by interfacing to a Medicare approved CDSM and automating the checking against AUC criteria.

Compulink’s Advantage all-in-one database solution includes EHR with support for ALL ortho sub-specialties including general, upper, and lower extremity, spine, sports med, pain management, PT/OT, podiatry, Work Comp, and PI. Compulink’s all-in-one database solution also includes practice management, inventory management (DME), patient portal, patient engagement, ASC module, analytics, and revenue cycle management services for its clients.  Used by more than 26,000 providers in 4700 locations, 70 ambulatory surgical centers, and 20 colleges and universities, Compulink is the leader in fully customizable EHR solutions that adapt to provider’s workflow and style of documentation.
